Tell us about what you’ve been up to since graduation? Just moved to Japan, due to a change of location in military bases. Before that, I worked with Embassy clients in Rome.

What skill set do you need to do your job? Focus and attention to detail, negotiation skills, and – above all – creativity.

How has your MBA helped you in your current position?
Confidence, primarily. Allowing me to negotiate price without backing down. Focus through business plan creation.

What are your future plans?
Moving the business from consumer-focused to commercial work.

If you could describe your experience in Rome during your MBA how would you sum it up?
Rome’s fantastic. If anyone tells you otherwise, they’re wrong.

Can you share an experience that is most memorable with relation to the MBA program?
Trivia Night! Every Monday, everyone from class would go to Scholar’s Pub together for a couple of drinks and the Rome Pub Quiz.

What was your favorite class in the program and why?
Global Economics, and Accounting – with running a business for nearly 10 years, I was already versed in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Management, but I had almost zero knowledge of Econ & Accounting.

What advice would you give newcomers to the MBA program or for those interested?
Do your research first. Are you looking for prestige or are you looking for knowledge? As a small school, SSM can’t really compete with prestigious names like Harvard, but it can give you real-world knowledge and practical solutions to surpass many of the big players out there.

What do you think differentiates this MBA from other MBA programs?
Personal attention! You will not find another school that can spend the one-on-one time with their students.
